BIRMINGHAM, AL --- Baptist Health System, Princeton Towers and BHS Senior Programs invite the community to attend a free informational insurance sales event on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Princeton Towers Apartments. Two sessions will be offered, the first from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and the second session from 2 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

"Agents from a variety of insurance companies will present various medical plans and the added benefits of each one," said Vonceil Sanders, manager of senior programs and services for Baptist Health System. "We hope this program will help individuals make informed decisions about medical coverage and also allow them to ask questions to the insurance professionals who will be present."

Representatives from Secure Horizons, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Spring, Viva, Humana and Jefferson County Office of Senior Citizens Services are scheduled to speak at the event.

"The insurance fair will help our residents and seniors in the community to better understand the changes in their insurance plans and  provide information on other benefits they are entitled to which they may not know about," said Janet Graham, service coordinator at Princeton Towers Apartments.

Additionally, an open enrollment session will be held at Princeton Towers apartments on Sunday, November 15 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Community members in need of insurance are invited to attend open enrollment with a spouse or loved one to determine which option fits their needs.
