JASPER, AL --- Teddy Jones, director of facility operations for Walker Baptist, recently received the highest honor for Alabama's healthcare engineers. At the annual fall conference of the Alabama Society for Healthcare Engineers (AlaSHE) on September 25th, Jones was given the 2009 Mike Hicks Memorial Healthcare Engineer of the Year Award. This award recognized accomplishments and contributions of AlaSHE members as well as outstanding achievements within their own facilities. Jones has served as the director of facility operations at Walker Baptist for 10 years. He has held every position within AlaSHE and currently serves on the AlaSHE board as the Alabama Liaison to the American Society for Healthcare Engineers as well as the Chairman of the Alabama Healthcare Engineering Certification Committee.
